The 2025 Global Emotions Report, published by CEOWORLD magazine, provides insight into global stress levels by ranking the most and least stressed countries worldwide.

Conducted between December 2, 2024, and January 12, 2025, the study surveyed people in 197 countries and territories, asking whether they felt “a lot of stress” the previous day. Over a third of respondents admitted to experiencing high stress.
The study evaluated four major stress factors: work, money, social and family life, and health and safety. Based on these criteria, Monaco emerged as the least stressed country in the world, scoring 83.83 on the stress index. Other European nations such as Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Ireland followed closely behind.

Not all African countries enjoy such stability. The report identifies Burundi as the most stressed country in Africa, ranking last globally due to its economic hardship and political instability.
